Qing Qi Hua Tan Wan is the next effective formula I use. My systemic weakness is of the Metal type and I personally find this formula to be excellent. If I catch a cold and it goes onto my chest then I have two formulae that I use personally ( it used to be just one needed, Ding Chuan Tang, but its sadly been banned from the UK). QQHTW is one of them and is excellent for releasing heat from the lungs, eg if a cold has settled into the system and has turned to heat and breathing starts to be troublesome and if mucus being excreted from the system is showing signs of heat (eg green – nice) then I find this keeps me breathing and also dissipates the green phlegm (lovely conversation I know). I’ve given this to people recently who had virus symptoms and from what they have told me it improved their breathing within 24 hours. Asthma diagnosis in Western Medicine also falls under the treatment scope of this formula, though Chinese Medicine has its own diagnosis paradigm.

That’s it for now, I’ll do the second Lung formula next time.
